About the Band
The Chester County Concert Band is a volunteer community band with a professional director. Band policies and appearances are approved by a Board elected from among the musicians. The band members pay annual dues (presently $35) and we accept a modest remuneration from the majority of our engagements to defray the cost of the music, purchase some band-owned instruments (in the percussion section), and support some recreational activities of the band. The annual Spring and Fall concerts also provide some income. Our director, David W. Reif, is compensated from the funds collected during the year.
Melmark Community PartnerThe Chester County Concert Band is proud to have been selected as the "Community Partner of the Year" by Melmark on May 16, 2016. Melmark is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. David Reif, Director, Leslie Burnick, President, and Carole Curtis, former President, attended the awards banquet to accept the lovely crystal plaque.
