In honor of the 20th anniversary of the band, the board approved the commissioning of a musical composition from the nationally-known composer, Robert Maggio, a faculty member of West Chester University. He presented us with a work called Brandywine Overture, which had its debute at the 2001 Fall Concert and was played again at the Spring, 2002 concert. The band would be most grateful for financial assistance from any individual, business, or organization who could support us with commissioning such work in the future.
